The Anglican Rosary

The Anglican Rosary was created during the 1980s by an Episcopal priest, Father Lynn Bauman. It has one invitatory bead, four cruciform beads that together form the image of a cross, and four weeks of seven beads each for a total of 33, the age of Christ at his crucifixion. The number seven is often considered symbolic of spiritual perfection and completion in the Judeo-Christian tradition, but it also represents the seven days of creation and the seven seasons of the Church year (Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Easter, Pentecost, and Ordinary Time).
